Do I qualify?
Eligibility
You must be 62 years or older and income must not exceed $45,100 per year.

How much does it cost?
When you make a reservation for a trip, you will be told the fare for your trip.  Your must pay your fare as soon as you get into the vehicle, or you will present a vehicle fare ticket if you are a participant of a trip event.  (Some trip events require a combination rate pay.)
You may pay in cash, with a vehicle fare ticket or with a combination of the two.  If you are paying with cash, bring the exact change because the driver cannot make change.
See your trip service coordinator to obtain your vehicle fare ticket and combination rate pay prior to boarding the vehicle.

ALC Resident Group Trips

(Minimum 3 residents per trip)

$3.50 per person -  0 to 12 miles (round trip)
$5.50 per person -  12 miles up to 20 miles (round trip)
Other Bay Area Zones
$2.50 per person, plus $.30 per mile (round trip)

ALC Health & Wellness Events

$3.00 per person - roundtrip

ALC Office Visit

$9.00 per person - roundtrip

Non Resident Group Trips

$150 (Full Day) or $75 (Half Day) plus $4.50 per person -  0 to 12 miles (round trip)
$6.50 per person -  12 miles up to 20 miles (round trip)
Other Bay Area Zones
$2.50 per person, plus $.30 per mile (round trip)

How do I make reservations?

Round Trip Reservations
You must call our main office to make reservations.  Please call (510) 331-4900 between the hours of 9am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.  You may also leave a voice message requesting reservations and a representative will return your call upon receipt.

You may also come to aLc’s office to fill out a reservation form, pick up a schedule and schedule your reservation, the address is 1316 67th Street, Suite 7, Emeryville, CA 94608. Office hours for in-person reservations are Monday through Friday, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

If you want to receive a reservation form by mail, you must send a self addressed and stamped envelope to ALC c/o Dial-A-Ride Program, Attn: Reservations, 1316 67th Street, Suite 7, Emeryville, CA  94608, or call (510) 331-4900 if you want the reservation form faxed or emailed to you. You can also download forms from our website below. Make sure the reservation form is complete and that you have read all areas of the form and please print and sign the provided transportation liability release waiver.

Reservation forms must be received in our office at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled trip.

Group Trip Reservation
If you are a group trip participant, your trip service coordinator will make reservations on your behalf.  Your trip service coordinator will provide you with a vehicle fare ticket and/or information regarding combination rate pay to provide the driver as soon as you get into the vehicle.

Must I sign a Liability Form Before Boarding?
Transportation Liability Release Form
Yes, it is necessary to sign a transportation liability release form prior to boarding the vehicle.  You will not be allowed to board the vehicle without a liability form given to the driver at boarding time.

How do I cancel a reservation?

Please call (510) 331-4900 to cancel a reservation. Please call at least 4 hours in advance of your scheduled trip.
